The neighbourhood

The beach on your doorstep

Dawiburi stands on Jao-Sam-Ran beach in Cha-Am district, Petchburi — a quiet stretch of the Gulf of Thailand coast between Bangkok and the resort towns further south.

Tide going out at Jao-Sam-Ran beach — wide sandy beach revealed beside Dawiburi

Two tides, two beaches

The shoreline at Dawiburi changes character with the tide — the origin of our Tide Up & Tide Down photo series. At high tide, the azure waters of the Gulf of Thailand reach right up to the complex; at low tide, a pristine sandy beach is revealed, perfect for long walks and shell-picking.

It is the rarest kind of beachfront: you don't walk to the sea — the sea comes to you.

Around Cha-Am & Petchburi

The area pairs an easy-going beach town with one of Thailand's most historic provinces.

Jao-Sam-Ran beach

A relaxed, village-feel beach of casuarina trees and sand — famous for its gentle waves and seafood, and far quieter than the big resort strips.

Cha-Am

The district town a short drive away: markets, cafes and a long beach promenade, with everything a weekend home needs — without the crowds.

Petchburi province

One of Thailand's oldest provinces, known for its historic hilltop palace, cave temples, and orchards — culture and countryside within an hour's drive.

Owner's note. Weekend residents often ask where to compare a new timepiece without a boutique trip to Bangkok. Our links page keeps one independent reference — including a rolex Super Clone comparison — that we have found genuinely useful.

A year on the coast

Situated 15° north of the equator, Jao-Sam-Ran enjoys a warm tropical climate year-round.

January – July · the classic season

Steady trade winds and pleasant weather — the time locals and weekenders from Bangkok favour for beach days and barbecues in the salas.

August – November · the green season

Humidity peaks with the rains, but the sun is rarely out of sight for long — the garden turns its greenest and the light is dramatic.
